Wives, in the same way be submissive to your husbands so that, if any of them do not believe the word, they may be won over without words by the behavior of their wives, when they see the purity and reverence of your lives...let it be incorruptable beauty of a gentle and quiet spirit, which is very precious in the sight of God. 1 Peter 3:1

Prayer of St. Francis

Lord, make me an instrument of Your peace.
Where there is hatred, let me sow love;
where there is injury, pardon;
where there is doubt, faith;
where there is despair, hope;
where there is darkness, light;
and where there is sadness, joy.
O, Divine Master,
grant that I may not so much seek
to be consoled as to console;
to be understood as to understand;
to be loved as to love;
for it is in giving that we receive;
it is in pardoning that we are pardoned;
and it is in dying that we are born to eternal life.

I(Miriam) was just listening to a rare cd of Sara McLachlan and heard her put to song the “Prayer of St. Francis.” Go on itunes and download this song by Sara McLachlan, turn it up as loud as you can and lay before the Lord. This is our prayer for all of us, the wounded and the wound-ers. Nothing ever has to ruin us. God’s precious gift of Jesus in a manger guaranteed that. This prayer reminds us of what God intends to do in our life stories if we will let Him. And oh, we ARE going to let Him. Allow Him to do this in you. This changes the world. After all, that is why Jesus came. So that we could have the hope of being changed and therefore change the world. Thank you, Jesus.

Merry Christmas!
