Wives, in the same way be submissive to your husbands so that, if any of them do not believe the word, they may be won over without words by the behavior of their wives, when they see the purity and reverence of your lives...let it be incorruptable beauty of a gentle and quiet spirit, which is very precious in the sight of God. 1 Peter 3:1

How to Support Victims and Survivors of Domestic Abuse
This program is for friends, family members, and anyone
else who has wondered, “How can I help my loved one who
is in an abusive relationship?” Presenters Norah Ashcraft,
legal advocate with the YWCA, and Katie Taylor, creator
and facilitator of the SOBA (Sick of Being Alone) women’s
support group, will define abuse and teach you steps you
can take to help domestic abuse victims and survivors of
all ages.
Both adult and teen/college-age abuse will be addressed.
You will learn:
~How to see the signs of possible abuse
~How to approach the victim and what the victim
needs to hear from you
~How to help someone with safety planning
~What mistakes parents can make that actually
increase isolation and play into an abuser’s hands
