Just Laugh

All kids say funny things…….Here are a few I recorded in some of my darkest days. All I can do is laugh. I think God knows it’s what I need!!!!
1.My stomach has been a mess, I think it’s stress and anti-depressants…who knows. Long story short…..diarrhea and a LOT of Gas….(stop laughing) I was walking through a store during the holidays with my oldest son…..I thought I was being stealth in letting the gas out. I made a VERY quiet “toot” as we walked through the isles. I was not really paying attention, as I saw something that reminded me of DH and the past, I was upset and distracted. My son was mid sentence, talking about some toy, when he said “Mom you need to say excuse me.” BUSTED!
2.I was moving furniture around and I stubbed my toe on a dresser. I started to cry and sat down………L and S were in the room. L asked me what happened; I was in a lot of pain and told him I hurt myself. He responded with “Okay, I guess we better pray.” He bows his head and says; “Lord, mommy hurt her foot, come and heal her!” Then S kneeled next to him and folded his chubby little hands, bowed his head and started to mumble something….I have a feeling it was the lyrics to “Blues Clues” but whatever, so sweet to see my little guys lifting me up.
3. We were in a hurry to get to MOPS. We were VERY late!!!!! I was hurrying everyone out the door. I was very impatient with L as I hurried him out the door. When we started to drive he said “Mom, you hurt my feelings when you were angry with me.” I apologized to him and told him mommy was frustrated, but I should not get angry with him. He said “ That’s okay I forgive you, please talk nice to me next time.” Ahhhhhh It is so scary when they start to sound like you.
Do I need to tell any mom’s out there????? THEY HEAR EVERYTHING!!!!!!!!
4. I was crying and had been for awhile….. L looked deep into my eyes and I was ready for the Lord to speak through him. To offer me any hope or just speak truth. After a few moments…..He said “Mom you have crack eyes.” He was looking at the veins/ bloodshot-ness from crying.
From the mouth of BABES!!! Thank God that He uses my kids to remind me to laugh!
